Our Amazing Team of Talented and Experienced Instructors Will Take Care of You No Matter What Your Level
Pilates Manager & Instructor
Leah was first introduced to Pilates in the late 90’s through her study of classical ballet. During those years and continuing through her time as a dance major at the University of Utah, she was able to personally observe the importance of Pilates in creating a stable, balanced body.
As an instructor, Leah loves helping people connect with their bodies, exploring how movement can not only heal, but also bring joy. She enjoys teaching technical, alignment based classes that foster a strong mind/body integration.
Her formal Pilates training was done through Fluid Motion on Maui, and includes the Stott Reformer, Cadillac, and Barrels trainings. She has also completed the Stott Injuries and Special Populations training, as well as her 200 hour yoga training, Barre certification, and NASM CPT with a focus on Senior Fitness.
Pilates Instructor
Born and raised in Nu’uanu valley, Sridevi’s life has been full of outdoor adventure, dance, sports, and injuries!
It took three years of her father’s encouragement to try Pilates before she added it as an elective at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she received her BFA in dance.
Sridevi has worked with clients aged 13 to 98 on Pilates equipment and is humbled, daily, by how incredible the human body, mind, and spirit are. Life is a journey and it’s important to feel your best!
With 11 years teaching experience after her BASI certification in California, she enjoys being back home to help her ohana on Oahu.
Pilates Instructor
Amanda grew up in Pennsylvania but left home at eighteen to attend Arizona State University. She earned her BFA in Dance Education in 2002. It was during her college years that she was introduced to Pilates, and she took her first teacher training in Matwork in 2000.
In 2004 she married her husband, a career military member, and together they have lived in Colorado, Okinawa, Hawai'i, Washington, Alaska, and finally back to Hawai'i where they will stay upon her husband’s military retirement. Over the years, Amanda and her husband welcomed 4 children into their lives and have stayed busy raising kids and moving wherever the Army sent them.
Between 2009-2010, Amanda received her teacher training on the various Pilates apparatus machines through Stott Pilates. She has been teaching on and off ever since depending on the needs of her family over the years.
Amanda is excited to be teaching at Hana Pono and is always striving to bring her clients quality classes focusing on strength, stability, functional movement, and body awareness.
